Solemnity of All Saints
The Catholic Church celebrates the Solemnity of All Saints on Thursday the 1st of November. The main mass for the day in our parish was at 6.00 p.m. Fr. Giovanni Cefai MSSP who is on a short visit to Gozo to see his family led the concelebration. Archpriest Fr. Reuben Micallef and Fr. Geoffrey Attard concelebrated; the latter delivered a short homily on the importance of being holy by imitating the saints. Solemn Commemoration of the Dead Friday the 2nd of November was a day dedicated to prayer for the dead. There were various masses in the church. At 4.30 p.m. Archpriest Can. Reuben Micallef led a pilgrimage from the main square to the parish cemetery. Mass was celebrated at 5.00 p.m. Can. Micallef delivered the homily. There was no Mass at 6.00 p.m.
Walk in the countryside On Thursday 1st November as the weather was nice and permitting, Archpriest Fr. Reuben Micallef led a group of about thirty youngsters on a walk in the Gozitan countryside.
