On Saturday the 31st of March the Catholic Church all around the world entered Holy Week through the liturgical celebration of Palm Sunday. Here in our parish, the main Mass began at 7.00 am with the procession led by the Parish Priest Can. Rueben Micallef that marched from in front of the parish centre into the parish church. A numerous crowd gathered in the parish square a few minutes before the strokes of seven. At the beginning of the celebration, the archpriest blessed the olive branches that were scattered on a big table just in front of the main door of the parish centre. The Gospel reading was taken from the gospel according to St John; afterwards, the archpriest gave his short homily preparing the congregation to enter into the spirit of Holy Week which has just begun.
