Christmas Evenening by the Santa Marija Band
On Saturday the 19th of December at 7.00 p.m. the Santa Marija Band will organize a soiree entitled Flimkien fil-Milied. L-Istrina in Żebbuġ On Sunday the 20th of December, Her Excellency the President of the Republic Mrs Marie Louis Coleiro Preca will be present in the square where she will be presented with the envelopes containing financial aid for those in need; the proceeds will go towards the Community Chest Fund organization. Christmas Concert On Monday the 21st of December the Regina Angelorum Choir organized its annual Christmas Concert. It began at 7.00 p.m. The new CD Ninni Ġesu’ which is the first CD of the choir was launched. Chev. Joe M. Attard was the main compere of the event. The Church was packed. The CD can be bought from the parish church or directly from the choir directors. Procession with Baby Jesus The traditional procession with the Baby Jesus organized by the Society of Christian Doctrine (MUSEUM) takes place on Wednesday the 23rd of December at 4.45 p.m. It leaves the Stella Maris Retreat House and processes to the Church. At 5.30 p.m. the Santa Marija Band will organize its annual concert and there will be the priedka tat-tifla. At 6.00 p.m. the last Novena Mass will take place. Can. Michael Galea of Xagħra will be the main celebrant and preacher. Christmas Eve The Vigil Mass will be at 6.00 p.m. At 10.30 p.m. the annual Christmas Pageant will begin. The Regina Angelorum Choir will animate. Catechists and helpers will help out to make the pageant a success. A new chandelier for one of the side chapels will be Inaugurated. At midnight, Archbishop Emeritus Mgr. Paul Cremona O.P. will preside the Christmas Mass. Christmas Day On Christmas Day the Masses will be as on Sundays.
