The feast of the Blessed Virgin known locally as ‘tal-Għażżiela’ which is peculiar to our locality of Żebbuġ
was held on Sunday the 13th of September, the second Sunday of the month. The festivity has been
held in Żebbuġ for many centuries. The Santa Marija Band participated in the procession which came
out of the parish church after the 4.30 pm Solemn Mass. Thousand of għażżiel were distributed at the
