Palm Sunday
Sunday the 29th of March is Palm Sunday. This is the beginning of Holy Week when the Liturgy celebrates the solemn entrance of the Lord Jesus into Jerusalem. Reconciliation Day Tuesday the 31st of March is Reconciliation Day in the diocese. At 6.45 p.m. the Penitential Service will begin. There will be various confessors to hear the confessions. Mass will begin slightly after 7.00 p.m. (Notice that on Saturday night of the 28th we will switch to the Summer time). Maundy Thursday Thursday the 2nd of April is a special day for since it commemorates the establishment of two important sacraments. At 9.00 a.m. The Bishop will preside the Mass of the Chrism. At 6.00 p.m. the Function of the washing of the feet will take place together with the Solemn Celebration of the Eucharist. Afterwards the Eucharist will be processional transported to the Altar of Reposition. At 8.30 p.m. the bus will leave the square for the beginning of the Seven Visits to different churches. Good Friday At 8.00 a.m. Morning Prayer in the Church. At 9.30 a.m. Prayer of the Seba’ Vizti. At 3.00 p.m. Liturgy of the Adoration of the Cross and Reading from the Holy Gospel according to St John. At 6.00 p.m. Procession with the statues of the Holy Passion. Easter Vigil At 8.00 p.m. Blessing of the Fire and Liturgy of the Easter Vigil. Singing of the Exultet, Liturgy of the Word and Liturgy of the Eucharist. Easter Sunday Masses as on Sunday.
