| Wednesday the 7th of May was the first Wednesday in the series of fifteen Wednesdays in preparation for the liturgical feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Archpriest Canon Reuben Micallef celebrated the Mass; Canon Carmelo Cini, Fr Ġorġ Vella and Fr Geoffrey G Attard concelebrated. In his homily the archpriest spoke about the importance of the Marian sanctuaries around the world with specific reference to the Basilica of Loreto in Italy.
Thursday the 8th of May is the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary of Pompeii.
