Holy Week 2014
  On Saturday the 12th, at 6.45 p.m. the Archpriest Can Reuben Micallef blessed the olives for the Palm Sunday Liturgy. Mass will follow at about 7.00 p.m.

Sunday the 13th of April is Palm Sunday. Masses were at the usual times.

Tuesday the 15th of April was a day dedicated to the Sacrament of Reconciliation. At 6.45p.m. the Sacrament of Reconciliation was administered to the faithful followed by Mass.

Thursday the 17th of April – Holy Thursday known also as Maundy Thursday. At 6.00 p.m. the Liturgy of Holy Thursday will take place. On this day the Church commemorated the establishment of two important sacraments; the Catholic Priesthood and the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist. The Pange Lingua Gloriosi were sung by the Parish Choir at the end of the Liturgy as the Blessed Sacrament is transported to the Altar of Reposition.

Friday the 18th of April – Good Friday. The Liturgy of the Adoration of the Cross took place at 3.00 p.m. The Procession began to march at about 6.00 p.m. accompanied by the Santa Marija Band.

Saturday the 19th of April – the Easter Vigil will begin at 8.00 p.m. with the Blessing of the Fire. During this most important of liturgies, the readings from the Old and New Testaments are read and proclaimed.

Sunday the 20th of April is Easter Sunday; Masses wil be as usual. The Main Mass will take place at 4.00 p.m. At the end of the this Mass, the childred of the parish are given the figolla. Later on the demonstration with the statue of Christ Resurrected will take place accompanied by the Santa Marija Band.
