The Making of Ghazziela

Various people are meeting on a regular basis at the Parish Centre to continue to ancient tradition of the manufacturing of the ghazziela. There is no real translation into English for the term but the ghazziela is made of water and flour, later translated into a dough and eventually given the form of the letter M for the initial of the Blessed Virgin’s name. Thousands of ghazziela are made and then blessed on the feast-day of the Blessed Name of Mary in September.
