On Christmas Eve, the procession with the children participating in the Christmas pageant began to proceed from the MUSEUM premises in Madonna tac-Cicri Street at about 10.45 pm. At 11.00 pm the pageant began in which children sang the Christmas Carols and presented the pageant. Young altar server Nicholas Cassar delivered the traditional
Priedka tat-Tifel. The midnight Mass began afterwards. The choir of the parish took part and animated the Solemn Midnight Mass. The choir was under the direction of Mrs. Maria Cefai and Mrs. Jacqueline Vella while the organist was Mr. Franco Cefai. On Christmas Eve, the Sacrament of Confession was offered for all the faithful. In the morning, Mgr. Luigi Vella and Dun Gorg Vella offered their service. In the evening there were Confessions again between 5.00 and 7.00 pm. At 6.00 pm the Vigil Mass began which was presided by the Archpriest Can. Reuben Micallef. |
